Melody's Gardening in Central Texas

Great Sites on the Internet for Central Texas Gardening

Here are some great links to sites on Gardening in Central Texas:

Aggie Horticulture: This is the essential site for Texas gardeners. There are many links within the site to go to for information on many aspects of Texas gardening. Be sure and visit the link here for the Texas Superstars--you will want to see these.

Aggie Info on Plant Division: Be sure to visit this site at Aggie Horticulture for information on dividing plants. The links at the bottom are good too, but note that they are for North Texas. Most things will still apply to Central Texas.

Wood Barns and More! - Identify that Tree Thanks to the suggestion of Lexington Middle School in Massachusetts, MS Green's class, I am adding this helpful website. Check it out!

http://modularhomeowners.com/a-homeowners-resource-guide-to-lawn-and-gardens/ This link is thanks to Christian at the youth center, who knew this would be a helpful website for gardeners.  It has lists of many resources to help you learn about gardening.  Thanks, Christian!

Magnolia Garden Nursery: This has a wonderful database of plants that will grow here. You can't buy them here because this is a wholesale nursery supplier, but it has one of the best sources of pictures I have ever seen. Look for these plants at your local nursery; just jot down the name and go find them there. If they don't have them, they may be able to order them for you.

Plant Answers: You can go to the many helpful links on this page. There is even a garden calendar at the bottom.

McLennan County Master Gardeners: This site has good information and even more links.

Here's a link to the Hill Country Master Gardeners Website you will enjoy.

Lone Star Bird Houses: Decorative, wooden and rustic bird houses and feeders. Tips on bird house and feeder placement, free "build your own bird house" instructions.

Serenata Flowers.com: Good information you'll want to know about the science of plants!
